| Personal History | BACKGROUND: Keera was born to her parents Jakeilie and Patrubia Rey in Argentina, where they spoke more Spanish than English. Though she never stayed there to pick up on that language. Her parents traveled to other more English speaking areas of the world. When she grew up, she had a fondness for science, even Earth Science and how things worked. Everything seemed to have fascination to her that she wasn't about to let anything get by. Later on in life, when Keera trained in the Amazon forest as well as other locations, to learn the scientific ways of the nature and her wonderous Earth. It was a trip to a mountain with her former husband, that she regretted the most. The people there were few, because of former eruptions of this Volcano in the past. Many stated that they felt it would be dormant and that their people worshiped the gods to keep it stable. Most lived far enough away from the Mountain and they did this, so that if it erupted. They would survive the lava and the smoke that rises from it, but they would have to be cautious about anything that could be infected and poisonous from the aftermath. Keera accepted this as her and her husband looked to help these people over come and live easier after an explosion, but it would be months later, when an eruption Occurred and the team that she was on, were caught in the midst of it. Most had gotten out, but her husband did not survive as they were beamed away. The time of the beginning of Starfleet and it's incredible technology had fascinated her and they had hoped to use this on the less advanced people. They had survived through much, but she wasn't sure if she could survive after this loss. Keera cried inside, even after Starfleet contacted her about projects to do. She took time to focus on her future after she had gathered her thoughts. |
